myDataChameleon uses Solutions, each containing one or more Transfer Tasks, to get needed data work completed. Each Transfer Task uses one of each of these four objects: Data Source, Source Specification, Data Destination, and Destination Specification. A Transfer Task uses the data represented in a Data Source to add records to, update records in, or delete records from, a Data Destination. The type of action the task will perform (insert/update/delete) is determined by the "Task Type" that you select. A Source Specification tells how a Data Source should be read in (or connected to if it is a database). Similarly, a Destination Specification tells how a Data Destination should be written out (or connected to if it is a database). When you execute (or run) a Solution, its Transfer Tasks get executed in the order that you have sequenced them in the Solutions window.
